MUSE / Buying guide
The UAE corporate gifting calendar: occasions, recipients and buying windows
Build the annual gift plan around the handover moment, not just the holiday name. Ramadan hospitality, Eid family appreciation, Emirati Women's Day recognition and national occasions have different recipients and messages. Begin established-product and branded-packaging projects around 6–8 weeks ahead as a planning starting point, earlier for Ramadan hospitality; original manufacturing needs a longer development window. Confirm the actual schedule for each brief.

Ramadan and both Eids need separate briefs
For Ramadan, decide whether the gift goes to a business host, a majlis or an employee household. A contemporary qahwa service or MUSE architectural oud burner can support a hospitality brief; a professional folio offers a different direction for an individual business recipient. Aim for handover before the first planned gathering, not a generic month-end date.
Eid Al Fitr can focus on employee appreciation and family enjoyment, with options such as a shared GiiKER game or a personal product chosen for the recipient. Eid Al Adha is a separate occasion: confirm travel and handover availability and use the appropriate greeting. Islamic dates follow official UAE announcements.
- Ramadan hospitality: begin around 8–12 weeks before the intended handover.
- Eid projects: begin around 6–8 weeks ahead, earlier for original development.
- Check Chinese factory holidays and transport alongside the UAE calendar.
Hag Al Leila: plan for participation
Hag Al Leila is an Emirati community celebration ahead of Ramadan. For a company family activity, choose around the actual age group, event format and what participants will do together. A reusable presentation bag and an age-appropriate puzzle or shared game provide a non-food direction.
Match the design to the local occasion and prepare Arabic text for that audience. Confirm the event organiser’s date before ordering activity quantities. The scale and format of a family event are different from a VIP hospitality presentation.
- Begin around 6–8 weeks ahead for a coordinated activity gift.
- Confirm age suitability, the game or activity and the presentation format together.
Emirati Women’s Day: recognise the person and achievement
28 August is the annual reference date. Check the current official theme and activity window when planning that year’s campaign. Select by professional use and personal interests: a leather folio, an audio direction such as Huawei FreeClip 2, or another product the recipient will value.
Use a named appreciation message and choose the final finish with care. An interest-led choice is more useful than assuming a single product category suits every woman.
- Start discussions in June or early July for an August handover.
- Confirm recipient preferences, personal messages and the company’s event date.
Flag Day and Eid Al Etihad are distinct moments
Flag Day is 3 November; Eid Al Etihad marks the Union on 2 December. Keep the greetings and purpose distinct even if one corporate identity links the campaigns. A personal folio or desk ensemble can work for colleagues; a sculpted metal piece or architectural oud burner offers a direction for a planned VIP brief.
Begin national-campaign planning in August or September if original pieces are involved. Use around 3–4 months as an initial development window and around 6–8 weeks for established products with packaging. The company’s handover date may be earlier than the occasion itself.
- Confirm the current year’s approved campaign artwork before applying it.
- Use national colours thoughtfully and approve Arabic greetings in context.
- Check the announced holiday arrangements separately from the commemorative date.
Leave room for the occasions unique to your business
Property handovers, exhibitions, office openings, company anniversaries and service awards should have their own entries in the buying calendar. Work backwards from when the recipient will receive the gift, allowing time for product choice, artwork, samples, production and delivery.
Send MUSE the coming occasions, recipient groups and approximate quantities. We can build a coordinated gift family and confirm each project’s schedule. These buying windows help start a discussion; the agreed project plan determines production and delivery.

Buyer questions
Should Ramadan and Eid use the same gift?
They can share a visual identity, but the purpose and greeting should fit each occasion. Hospitality before a Ramadan gathering differs from employee or family appreciation at Eid.
Are the planning windows guaranteed delivery lead times?
No. They are starting points for planning. Product availability, customisation, sample approval, factory schedules, transport and the destination determine the agreed project timeline.
Should we plan around the official holiday or our company event?
Use the intended handover date as the working deadline. Your company event and recipient availability can fall before the commemorative date or holiday break.
